| Description of Subjects/Issues |
The Department proposes amendments to this rule that will bring the Colorado newborn
screening panel into alignment with the current conditions on the Recommended Uniform
Screening Panel (RUSP). In addition, the program’s stakeholders requested the addition of
targeted screening. The proposed additions are as follows: adding Guanidinoacetate methyltransferase deficiency (GAMT) to the Colorado newborn screening panel, adding Mucopolysaccharidosis Type II (MPSII) to the Colorado newborn screening panel and adding the targeted testing of newborns for congenital Cytomegalovirus (cCMV). |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
