Exceptional Children's Act Amendments |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
1.To update the rules to conform with the Facility Schools Act of 2008 and the Rules for the Administration of the Facility Schools Act, 1 CCR 304-1;
2.To clarify the definition of “administrative unit” to make it consistent with statute (see C.R.S. § 22-20-103(1));
3.To eliminate expired and outdated rules regarding special education due process hearings; and
4.To comply with HB 12-1345, which eliminated the “Preschooler with a Disability” eligibility category and charged the Department with promulgating a new eligibility category definition and criteria entitled “Child with a Developmental Delay." |
